Seagrass Transplantation Event Held at Mazoma Lagoon

On May 13th, the Management Unit of Protected Areas of Acheloos Valley and Amvrakikos Gulf (O.F.P.E.K.A.) successfully organized an information event for the LIFE TRANSFER project (*LIFE19 NAT/IT/000264*) at Mazoma lagoon.

Participants had the chance to observe the seagrass transplantation process up close and learn about its benefits for the restoration of transitional ecosystems.

The event featured brief presentations by the project team, including Dr. Panagiotis Lemonakis (Project Coordinator), Efstratios Floudas (Head of MAPP), and Spyros Konstas (Deputy Head of MPA), followed by a live demonstration and interactive discussion.

The LIFE TRANSFER project promotes innovative restoration techniques to enhance biodiversity in lagoon ecosystems.
